Cropped ver 2

ABOUT ME

I am a wife, mother of four grown children, pet mama to two German Shepherds and two cats plus I am an avid papercrafter.

I started this journey in 1997 when I was invited to my first stamping party. I had no idea what to expect but it was a night out so I figured why not try something new. Once I saw how much fun it was creating hand-stamped cards I was instantly hooked.

I decided to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator after my mother-in-law loved a card I had made for her. She said I should be teaching others how to make cards too and that made sense to me.

I soon started teaching people how rubber stamps could be used to make cards, gifts and other items. It didn’t matter if you considered yourself artistic, anyone could do it and have fun in the process. I absolutely loved doing demonstrations in people’s homes and watching as they created something they could be proud of. I decided to branch out and teach classes in my home and at a few local high schools for their evening Continuing Education classes, which I still do.

Not only was I having fun sharing my love of stamping with others I found so many friends in the Stampin’ Up! community. We would get together for stamping events and share ideas, coming up with projects we couldn’t wait to share with others.

I soon started trying out other papercrafts like scrapbooking.  With this I loved telling a story with pictures that could be enjoyed for years to come.

I really enjoy all types of crafts including sewing and quilting.  I have found incorporating patterns from quilting into my papercrafts is another way for me to express my creativity.

This past year I discovered junk journaling and this is something I have fallen in love with.  Mixed media has always been a favorite of mine and this is another outlet for me that really makes my heart full.

In 2024 I decided it was going to be my year of joy and happiness.  And what really makes me happy is sharing my love of papercrafting.  I decided a new name for my business was in order to go with my new attitude and that is how Jo’s Craft Corner was born.

I hope to inspire you in your creative journey whether it is cards, scrapbooking, 3D projects, home décor or junk journaling.

If you ever have any specific questions, please let me know.  I would be happy to help in any way I can!

Happy stamping!
